Diwali 2011: Divali falls on a new moon day in the
month of October or November. Since the precise moment
of the new moon falls on different dates depending on
geographical location, the date of Diwali also depends
on one's location. Diwali festival 2011 date to be celebrated is on 26 October,
2011. The festivities of deepavali last for five consecutive days i.e. two days before the diwali festival that is known as dhanteras & narak chaturdashi and govardhan puja & bhai duj respectively.
