She learnt Indian classical from her mother Smt Bijoya Deb and Pandit Amiya Ranjan Bandyopadhyaya. She also learnt semi-classical and other songs from Smt Haimanti Shukla,Purabi Dutta,Sukumar Mitra etc who are gurus with their own credit in India and abroad. She received many awards.She performed at Banga Sammelan at Houston,Texas,USA in 2006 and gave many performances at Toronto and Kolkata in India.She received many awards.Lessons are conducted via Skype also.
