Participate in a documentary on globalization, Americans and Bangalore

Here is a note from a visitor to GaramChai.com Please review and feel free to respond directly to participate in the interesting opportunity

I’m a documentary producer currently working on a film about the migration of Westerners to Bangalore.
We are looking for an individual, couple or family who will make the move from the United States or Europe to Bangalore, and who would be willing to be filmed making the journey, and I’d greatly appreciate any help you could offer in pointing me in the right direction of interested candidates.
Currently the project is being funded solely by the London-based organization Britdoc . However, it is likely that there will be an additional funding body to finance the film’s completion stage. We are an independent production company and do not have any definitive broadcast commitments at present. However, Britdoc is closely affiliated with Channel 4 so there is a strong possibility the documentary will be broadcast there.
The film will also tour documentary festivals around the world once it is completed.
We are looking for individuals or families who are moving from the States or Europe to Bangalore. We would like to film the process prior to departure, the journey, and briefly the period as he/she/they settle(s) in the new city.
If we could connect through you with potential candidates who are interested in participating in the project, that would be fantastic. We would like to film in July / August / September / October 2008. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any further queries.

Update on H1-Visas : Double the petitions Equals Odds are Half!

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) received 163,000 applications for H1-B visas through the April 7 deadline. Since that number exceeds the visa cap, the government will not consider any more applications this year (Source: USCIS, via the H1B data blog). 31,200 of those applications were for the quota of applicants with an advanced degree. (I wrote about the H1-B visa system a couple of weeks ago.) The quotas are: 20,000 for applicants with an advanced degree, and 65,000 for the rest. Rest on the Networkworld writeup More than 160,000 H-1B applications subject to random lottery

Wonder who will be on the list of “List of Top H1 Employers in the US” for this year?
